Electric Car Hire in London

Driving through Central London can be a bit pricey, but imagine being able to drive right through the congestion zone without paying a penny, or even being able to park in a designated parking space completely free of charge.

You might think these are the kind of privileges only available to royalty and the super rich, but with an electric car anyone can take advantage of such benefits.

Electric cars are available to hire across London and in addition to the obvious environmentally friendly advantages electric cars are also a great value option when compared to the cost of hiring a normal car, taking into account the savings that are possible on fuel, parking and congestion zone charges.

Most electric cars, such as the Citroen C1 Ev’ie, are simply modified versions of a standard car so from a driving experience everything is the same. The C1 Ev’ie has a maximum speed of 60mph and a range of 75 miles making it an ideal car for Central London.

Another advantage of the electric car is its exemption from road tax, a saving that is often passed on by car hire companies to the end user.

Charging an electric car is also easy and can be done either using a standard domestic power point or from one of the many charge points that are located across the city with prices for recharging starting from just 95p, working out at only 1.2p per mile!

Sixt rent a car have a fleet of electric cars available to hire from their Fulham / Chelsea branch
