The city of Joensuu is encompassed in the North Karelia region in the eastern part of Finland. It was established in 1848, and although young, the city has a collection of attractions that might prove otherwise. First on the list of destinations is The Joensuu Art Museum that is impossible to miss as it is at the center of the town. The church is composed of bricks and was built in 1903. The structure was designed by Josef Stenback with the Gothic Revival style.

Joensuu also has many food stores and restaurants that serve local delicacies and dishes. There are also shopping centers, gift shops, souvenir shops, and boutiques that are surely worth attention.
